Melissa and Matt’s Zephyr Cove wedding took place on a rainy afternoon in May. Luckily for them there was a plan B for their outdoor wedding ceremony, which some Lake Tahoe wedding venues don’t have that option. Their wedding ceremony was moved to inside of the reception tent, which still has a great view of the lake! After the ceremony we were luckily enough to have a little break in the rain to take their family and bridal party photos outside. After their first dance and wedding speeches we got lucky again with the rain stopping right before the sunset, so we were able to take their wedding portraits outside on the shores of Lake Tahoe.
From the start of the day is was poring rain and basically rained all day long.

Every once in a while the rain would stop for a couple of minutes and then start back up again.Matt having some alone time before the start of his wedding ceremony at Zephyr Cove Resort.Matt seeing Melissa for the first time and she walked down the aisle with her day.
Even though it was raining outside the reception tent at Zephyr Cove still made for a great ceremony location.
I love the expression on Melissa’s dads face while giving his speech.
