I met up with Chelsea and Alex on a cold winter morning in Lake Tahoe at Zephyr Cove to take their engagement photos. When we first started out taking photos that morning it was so cold that within about five minutes if felt as though my hands would not work anymore. Luckily for all of us it started to warm up a little, but really not that much. It was just enough for my hands to work the camera again. We were hoping for some snow on the ground, but with the super dry winter we had it didn’t pan out 🙁 At least all the mountains around the Tahoe basin had snow, which made for a stunning backdrop to some of their photos. The water was so clear on that winter day in Tahoe. It made you just want to jump in and swim, but not really when you were reminded of how cold it was. Here’s a little fun fact about Tahoe, the lake is actually at it’s clearest in the winter time than the summer time.
