Jen and Ken had a very small wedding in Lake Tahoe in front of only 6 guest on lovely spring day. They had their wedding ceremony and dinner at Zephyr Cove Resort, which was great for their elopement wedding. It had been raining off and on all day long on their wedding day. I was hoping that they would catch a break and it not being pouring rain for their outdoor wedding ceremony. But luck wasn’t on our side and the sky’s decide to open up about 5 minutes before their ceremony, which meant that they had to have their ceremony under the tent. Finally their luck change and the sun started to come out and stayed out right after their ceremony was over! Jen and Ken were so happy to be able to have their wedding photos take outside on the shores of Lake Tahoe. After dinner we went back out for a wonderful sunset photo session with out a cloud in the sky.
We were able to take some photos before the ceremony and before the next wave of rain came in.
It was pouring rain during their ceremony.
Jen and Ken’s Lake Tahoe elopement photography from the beaches of Zephyr Cove Resort.
We were all happy that the sun started to come out and the rain clouds started to leave.
I love little moments like this during the wedding day.
The good thing about spring time weddings in Lake Tahoe is that you get the beaches all to yourself, which means I don’t have to worry about anyone in the background.
The water on the lake was so glassy at sunset it look almost like a mirror. Crazy that just hours before this it was pouring rain and windy.
One of my favorite set’s of photos from their wedding day.
Happily smiling on their wedding day!
