Last fall when we were setting up Leslie and Jerrod’s winter engagement session, we settled on the beginning of February, since there is always snow at that time of year in the Sierras. But with how horrible this drought has been there was no snow when February rolled around in the Tahoe area. Luckily the only snow on the ground was high up on the Sierra passes. We prayed there would be snow on top of Donner Pass for their engagement session and we found it at Soda Springs! Leslie and Jerrod were so happy that there was snow for the engagement photos.

We were able to hike out to the meadow and get right next to the stream for some great engagement photos.Leslie and Jerrod were such a fun couple to photograph! I can’t wait for their wedding this fall in Lake Tahoe. With how dry this past winter was, we were all excited that there was snow on top of the pass at Soda Springs.
Lake Mary at Sugar Bowl Resort was frozen over and made for a cool back drop.
